San Giovanni I is a 65 m² one-bedroom apartment on the first floor of a seventeenth-century building on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. It was renovated in August 2022 with furniture made in Italy and a Scavolini kitchen, keeping one wall in the original red brick of the 1600s. Both living-room windows look towards the Colosseum.

A double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room sleep up to four. The bathroom has a 180 cm walk-in shower. Air conditioning in every room, new soundproof windows, Wi-Fi with wired sockets throughout, a safe and a washing machine. Self check-in with a keypad on the street door and the apartment door. There is no lift: the apartment is one flight of stairs up.

Where it is

Via di San Giovanni in Laterano runs from the Colosseum to the Lateran basilica, between the Monti and Celio districts. From the door it is 6 minutes on foot to the Colosseum and 8 to Colosseo metro (line B). The Basilica of San Clemente is on the same street, and Villa Celimontana park is a short walk up the Celio.
