San Giovanni II is an 85 m² apartment on the first floor of the same seventeenth-century building as San Giovanni I, renovated in August 2022 with Italian design furniture and a Scavolini kitchen. It has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of them en-suite. One bedroom looks onto the twelfth-century Basilica of San Clemente.

With the sofa bed in the living room it sleeps six, which suits two couples or a family, and the dining table seats six. Both bathrooms have large showers. Air conditioning in every room, new soundproof windows, Wi-Fi with wired sockets throughout, a safe and a washing machine. Self check-in with a keypad. There is no lift: the apartment is one flight of stairs up.

The building stands on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, a few steps from San Clemente: a twelfth-century basilica built over a fourth-century church, which in turn stands over Roman houses and a temple of Mithras, all open to visitors. The Colosseum is 6 minutes on foot and Colosseo metro (line B) 8 minutes.
